6 weeks and 1 day old!

Hello, Miss Finny!

You are currently sleeping on me and snoring away :D. You smiled (at mommy) for the first time Monday (1-21-13) and it was THE best. You are just so sweet, I can't stand it. You smiled for Nana on FaceTime on Tuesday, and you finally smiled at daddy yesterday. Keep the smiles coming, little one.

You and your dad came with to my post-baby doctor appointment, and the ladies just loved you. The receptionist said you looked like a china doll. Mommy is excited to have a break from the OB. You'll understand later... much later ;)

Tonight we are going to have dinner with Oma and Opa! They haven't seen you since you gained so much weight! You were 9 lbs on Monday, so I'm guessing you are even more today. Keep growing, just don't let me miss a second of it.

5 weeks and 5 days old!

My sweet baby girl,
You are starting to grow at light speed :). You can still fit into your newborn clothes, but they are getting snug, and we've added some 0-3 months options. I am soaking up every second I can because I know how fleeting it is. Soon you'll be crawling, then walking and talking, going to school, the mall... but back to now.

Daddy and I are trying to get you to like your carseat unsuccessfully! You made your first tear yesterday when we were buckling you in. It was SO sad! We will keep working on that. You weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. at your last appointment - this evening you have a weight check at the docs. I think you are feeling a bit heavier! You smile, and coo away. You LOVE looking out the window when it's bright out. You love rattles and you fall asleep the quickest when daddy bounces you. You are the joy in our life. Love you, little mama!

You'll be a month old tomorrow!

Time sure flies when you are having fun! Tomorrow you'll be 1 month old. You are doing so well. You put weight on those itty bitty legs, talk back to us, follow us and objects with those beautiful eyes, and you are starting to not hate tummy time! You can lift your noggin and turn it from side to side! I just have one request, don't let time go too fast. We are so lucky to be the ones who get to watch you grow, just don't do it in the blink of an eye, please :).

20 days old!!

You are THE BEST. So alert, cooing, rolling from back to side (left & right), you click your tongue, and you smiled at daddy today. You have so much control of your head already, and your little legs are so strong. You love the moby wrap and I love it too. Having you so close is heaven. You met Nana and Papa - boy do they love you. We all do. Here are pictures proving you are THE CUTEST baby ever!

You're here!! (6 days old)

Well, little miss Finley, you are finally here and we couldn't love you more. Your daddy and I are so happy to have you. We all are!! You are just the cutest, sweetest, lovable baby. Your cheeks are so kissable, they drive me crazy. One of your nicknames is CHEEKS :D. I'm sure you'll hate that one day ;D! You must have been listening to me when I was asking for an easy delivery!! Team work! You really wanted that birthday! 12/12/12 is pretty cool! We will be celebrating Christmas soon at Oma and Opa's. aunt Julie, Uncle Tom, and our cousin Jenny, from Germany will all be there with us (and the regular group - The Wyllie clan). After Christmas Nana and Papa are coming to meet you. Nana feels much better, and just CAN'T wait to snuggle with you. You are so loved. We will always love you. XOXO.

39 weeks & 1 day!!

You are still in there, munchkin :D. I am almost 2 cm. dilated and 50% effaced. Gross, huh? If you don't come earlier, we are scheduled to go in a week from today (Tues 12-11-12) with your expected birthday to be 12-12-12!! How cool. I'll still keep you if you come before.

Your Nana is unfortunately going to miss your big day. She has bronchitis and was in the hospital for nine days. She is just going home today and will need time to get her strength back. Aunt MK was sick too, but she is all better and will be here this weekend if you don't come before. Dad is going to take a week off work to spend with us. I can't wait!!

Only one more week. We love you!

38 weeks & 2 days!!

Hey, baby girl!

Sorry I didn't post last week! It was a busy one. We had Thanksgiving at your Oma and Opa's, and things have been go go go in preparation for you. Your Nana and Aunt MK are sick and trying to get better before you come. We are all hoping you can hold off just a little bit longer. We had our 38 week appointment today. No 37 week one bc of the holiday. I am 1 cm. dilated which means things are moving along! Try to wait a week or so, but I won't complain if you come before that either ;)
