7/25/14

Well, things have been busy for The Bredesens! We went to Nana and Papa's for a little over 2 weeks, saw everybody from Papa's side of the family at the reunion, and went to The Fritz's annual softball picnic. We went swimming at your Aunt Marikay's, played with Grace, had a lot of fun days, nice dinners, and good laughs. Now we are home and Mommy is trying to find the energy to put all of our clothes away! At least they are all clean 😊.

This weekend we have Ryan Haspert's first birthday party, and your Daddy is playing for the first time on the worship team at our new church. We moved from The Yellow Box to the Plainfield location due to distance. We figured with two of you, we should make travel as easy as possible!

Finley, you have started showing some interest in the potty. While we were in Michigan, we bought you one of your very own. You have requested to use it, but we have just played games and sang songs on it so far. You did pee on the rug once, so... progress? Haha. You are still itty bitty, so we have time! You drank out of a big girl cup at breakfast today, too. You are growing so fast, it's a little scary. Still so smiley and spunky. We just love you so much!!

Quinn, I don't know what you are doing in there, but you sure love to kick your Momma! My tummy is always rolling and jolting. I can't wait to see you. Only three more months to go! We are having a diaper party BBQ(uinn) in your honor in September, and I can't wait to celebrate you. Stay cozy in there until October, baby.

Hi, Finley! Tomorrow you'll be 18 months old. Unbelievable. Time sure is flying. You are stringing words together, love to color ("kiiiiiiii"), love playing outside, jewelry, and shoes! You are still a great eater, even if I have to sneak in the veggies. You nap wonderfully, and rarely wake during the night. Let's hope your sister is the same way! That's right, you are getting a baby sister. Quinn Austin Bredesen will be here around Halloween. She is going to love you SO much.

Next month we are going to Michigan for a couple weeks so you can meet your GiGi. We will get to spend July 4th there, go to Kenzie's birthday party, and to the family reunion. Can't wait.

2nd child syndrome.

I don't want to fall into the 2nd child syndrome trap. I need to post more! I promise to have a baby book and pictures and all that good stuff for baby bee. No excuses!

We find out on May 11th (Mother's Day) if you will get a baby sister or brother, Finley! We have the names locked and loaded, so will it be baby 'H', or baby 'Q'?  We will soon find out!! 

You are still such a sweet, happy, fun-loving, joy in our lives. You love going to toddler time at the library, playing at the park, but most of all, watching Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. You even get upset if I put on Mickey Mouse! You ask for the "mo-mo" and say "peas" while you do the sign for please. It's pretty adorable, so I comply. You are talking so much, and picking up new words every day.

Here are some of my favorites:

ba ba ba ba = belly button

whiiiiiiiiite = light

boo = moose

beardie = birdie

You love to mimick mommy telling Wrigley to leave the kitchen when you eat by telling her "Go, go, go!" You also love looking out the window and yelling "daddy!" While he's at work. You love your "joooose" which is usually just water, by the way. You also love squeezies ("skeezie") (pouches of baby food - which help because you are otherwise on a vegetable strike.) Let's not forget your love of cookies.

You are growing, and learning, and even putting some words together. You love to ask "where is she?" and today you mimicked "let's see." Where is she sounds like one word, and it's pretty cute.

When you get mad and throw the closest thing you've come to a fit, you just shout "mommy!" over and over.

We love you, and really appreciate the wonderful sleeper you are. You are gonna sleep that great too, right, baby bee?!

BABY BEE!

BIG NEWS!

Well, my dear sweet baby, Finley, is going to be a BIG SISTER! I know you have no clue what is happening, but I think you are going to be great at it. You always point out babies, and you love to hug your dolly. You are such a sweet girl, I can't wait to see you interact with your baby brother or sister. The baby will be here in October, a couple months before your 2nd birthday. I pray that you two are very best friends who enjoy your childhoods and think your parents are cool. 

You got your first haircut today, and upon Nana's request, you got bangs. So cute!!

Tomorrow is our first ultrasound to see little baby bee. An exact due date will be provided, and we can't wait! I am anxiously awaiting the news that there is just one of you in there, hehe. So Momma is extra tired, and ready for bed! We love you Miss Finley! You too, baby bee!

13 months, going on 16!

Well, my love, it has been a little bit since I last posted. You are ONE now, and your birthday was a success. We definitely had a full house (well, at Oma & Opa's).

You can say so much now, and you're adding new words every week! Last week it was "no, no, no, no, no, etc." that's a fun one 😜. Other words and phrases you love are "oh, boy!", "hi, baby", and "bobby wobby." Not quite sure where you're going with that last one, hehe.

March is fast approaching. Your daddy and I are going on a 7-day cruise with Oma, Opa, Aunt Heidi, the kids, Uncle Tom & Aunt Julie. You are going to stay with Nana & Papa. I'm going to miss you. I promise when you are older and get mad that we went on a cruise (that you wouldn't remember) without you, to make it up to you. 

We sure do love you and that gorgeous smile of yours.

Oh, boy, it's been too long.  You're so big.  You have 4 teeth on top, and 4 on the bottom.  You are taking steps.  You are still all smiles and are full of personality.  You sure let Momma know when you want or don't want something! It's more or less a sequence of yells.  You are very determined, independent, smart, and just beautiful.  I can't believe you will be ONE in a little over a month.  UNREAL!

Thursday we'll be going Trick-Or-Treating for your first time (I'll thank you for the candy in advance!), followed by your first Clark Halloween party on the outside!  You are so cute in your costume, I can't even stand it.

Nana and Ryan were here for another visit.  You just love them.  Yesterday was Papa's birthday and you said 'Papa', but only for me, you little stinker!

You were great at your 9 month appointment!  No shots helped.  You were/are in the 50th percentile... weighing in at 21 lbs and 25 in. long.  I think now that you are starting to walk we can say tall instead of long 😜.
